Another use for a industrial pallet

Just a pile of wood

Recycle the material which is not commonly used in a house. This bed is a simple pallet base which has been stacked on top of each other and has kept to the original texture and material. What I like about this is the simplistic raw material is kept and not been changed but still gives mattress a strong base to sit upon.

The painted pallets give the bed another look from the unpainted however white seems to give the piece a more contemporary moderism look which I prefer.  White bedding in both of these images are used as they give you a focus on the material itself.

Do I stop and take a photo this time?

This photography is my own of a building that I drove past every time I went to tauranga. Never stoped untill now, and after this I think about every building as a opportunity to record my memories and document my travel. The material combined with its run down exterior is what makes this building visually offensive but to me it tells a story of its history and use. What was it before? What is it now? Why is it in this state? I have look for some answers but no such luck. Looks like the building is a mystery of its past and maybe it should be that way and let people assume there own story about its history.

60s? Ill like to see this more in the 2011s

http://designfolio.co.nz/_blog/Design_Folio_NZ/post/Sheats-Goldstein_House_by_John_Lautner/

Came across this architectural house which I also found to be pretty amazing, I dont know if its the photography or the design but wow! Worth a look at. The 60s feel still feels like a wining design even for this modern year were in.

Reusing ideas

The Barcelona chair is to me one of the most modern pieces of furniture that has been created and has stayed modern though many years, I think the chairs curved legs and leather and steel material are some of the features which will not age rather then a printed fabric and certain materials. the design has stayed very simplistic which allows some other designers to do a replica design which has allowed them to be creative within there own field.

This design is a rip off of the chair but also has a number of interesting a thought out design features. With this piece I really love the way they used a material which they have recoiled as it gives the design a unique feature. The rustic print on it makes the design what it is an without this it would just look like a fabric that has been bought an not recycled.

Is it just me or is this building not straight?

So my first entry because lets face it ive been pretty busy, So as many of my class mates and lectures know im interested in architecture. The iron bank Building is one of my favorite New Zealand buildings as it is a amazing in both physics and design. The Rustic feel of the building gives it a aged look and blends into the landscape, however still managers to be in its own little world as it does not include materials which are not used in surrounding architecture. The iron banks shapes and forms are what makes it an award winning building by pushing the levels of the architecture onto another scale. (Photography done by me)
